March 06 Creating a keyboard shortcut for a favorite program .....
1. Right-click the desktop shortcut, and then click Properties.
2. On the Shortcut tab, click in the Shortcut Key box. 3. Press the keyboard combination that you want to use to start the program. The shortcut combination must consist of one character (a letter, number, or symbol) plus at least two of the following three keys: CTRL, ALT, and SHIFT. 4. Click OK. Select all - CTRL+A
Copy - CTRL+C
Paste - CTRL+V
Cut - Ctrl+X
Undo - CTRL+Z
Underline - CTRL+U
Bold - CTRL+B
Italic - CTRL+I
Delete - Delete or Del Delete immediately (no Recycle Bin) - Shift+Delete or Shift+Del Display the Start menu - CTRL+ESC or Windows Key
Show the desktop - Windows Key+D
Open My Computer - Windows Key+E
Open the Run dialog box - Windows Key+R
Display Help in a dialog box - F1
Rename selected item - F2 Search for a file or folder - Windows Key+F or F3
Display the Address bar list in My Computer or Windows Explorer - F4
Refresh the active window - F5
Cycle through screen elements in a window or on the desktop - F6
Activate the menu bar in the active program - F10 Display the top of the active window - HOME Display the bottom of the active window - END
Cancel the current task - ESC
Restores minimized windows - Windows Key+Shift+M nimize all windows - Windows Key+M
Prevent a CD from automatically playing - SHIFT when you insert a CD into the CD-ROM drive

Click on start on task bar Click on run In the box type regedit Click on the + sign beside HKEY_Current_User to show contents Click on the + sign beside Software to show contents Click on the + sign beside Microsoft to show contents Scroll down and click on the + sign beside MSN Chat to show contents Left click once on the yellow folder beside 4.0 to open it The contents will appear in a column on the right side of the page Under name left click twice on User Data 1 A window will open titled Edit String Under Value Data a line of numbers and symbols will be highlighted Right click on the highlighted text and copy Paste the code that you copied for the person you want to make owner Have them copy the code In the chat room have them type /pass A window will open titled Log In As Host Have them paste the code in the box |
